Beta Days

   In 2010, Animal Jam was created. At that time it was in beta testing. There were no memberships, so you could buy anything you wanted, as long as you had enough gems. 

  There was also only four lands. They were Jamaa Township, Lost Temple of Zios, Sarepia Forest (which was just called Sarepia then), and Crystal Sands. 

  In Crystal Sands, there were no water slides. It was just a beach. In Lost Temple of Zios, there was a monkey statue instead of the broken Zios mask. In Sarepia Forest, the flag shop did not exist. It was an old, boarded up hut. There was no Diamond shop in Jamaa Township. That was made very recently. There was also no arcade.

  Dens in the beta days were huge!

  There weren't as many games then, but one game called River Race was deleted. But some people still have the game, so you can still play it if you find someone with it.

  Today, beta items no longer for sale are some of the most wanted items on Animal Jam!
